"The Second Baptist School Athletics program gave me many opportunities to get me where I am today. Without the establishment of the Golden Girls Dance Team my freshman year, I would not have been able to showcase my love of dance with my school. My amazing coach, Madelyn Whitehead, guided our team to excel in the TAPPS State meets and area competitions, and she always pushed us to do our best to glorify God. I learned so much about myself and dance while at Second Baptist that I have carried over into my collegiate dance career as a Baylor University Songleader. Second Baptist always pushed me to do my best and work at everything as if for the Lord. I will always be grateful for my time as an eagle! Sic 'em Bears"
