Graduate transfer who returned to his hometown for his final season of college football... Combined with Chris Barnes to produce a better net punting performance than the Owls’ 2018 effort with C-USA Special Teams Player of the Year Jack Fox… Owls ranked 18th at the end of the regular season with a 41.1 average, compared with a 40.1 average the previous year… Matched his career best punt with a 61-yard effort on his first attempt with the Owls in the opener at Army… Averaged 46 yards on four punts in the opener, all of them downed inside the 10 (6, 9, 4 & 4)… Placed 16 of his 31 punts inside the 20, 8 of them inside the 10 (and two at the 10), four inside the 5 (and a fourth at the 5)… Preseason All C-USA second-team selection by Phil Steele.

Saw playing time in 13 games during the 2018 season and played in 40 consecutive games in his career as both the punter and holding on placements... Saw his streak of games at punter end after he was injured vs. Ohio State, but continued as holder. He finished 2018 averaging 39.5 yards per punt, including a season-long 56-yard punt vs. Oklahoma State on Nov. 24. Nunez racked up at least 242 punting yards in each of TCU’s final three games, with a season high 291 punting yards vs. Baylor on Nov. 17.

Played in all 14 games... First-team Academic All-Big 12 selection... Punted 62 times for 2,439 yards with an average of 39.3 yards per punt... Had 30 punts downed inside the 20 with only four touchbacks... Only eight of his punts were returned ... Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week after win over West Virginia after having four of five first-half punts downed inside the 6-yard line... had a career long 61-yard punt at Texas Tech.

Had 26 punts downed inside the 20 with just two touchbacks all season... Only 22 of his 72 punts were returned, and just for an average of 4.0 yards per return... Longest punt return all season by a TCU opponent was 19 yards... Had a season-long punt of 56 yards at Kansas... Had one carry for 18 yards and a first down on a fake punt against Texas Tech.
