2009: Was expected to be a possible weekend starter but was sidelined early in the season with an arm injury...Had "Tommy John" surgery and received a medical redshirt...Did make two starts against Southern Miss and LSU on Feb. 24 and March 3, respectively...Member of SBC Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49.

2008: Gave Privateers some good innings during end of the season...Got the win in NCAA Baton Rouge Regional victory over Texas Southern...Went seven innings and scattered eight hits and five runs (two earned) in victory over Tigers...Struggled with control for much of the season but turned a corner in May 13 game against LSU... Tossed four innings of scoreless relief against the College World Series participants, striking out six and allowing just one hit...Got the start in win over Louisiana-Lafayette in SBC Tournament on May 24. Went 3 1/3 innings and allowed two runs and four hits...Went 1-0 with a 4.43 ERA in May...In opening start of the season, went seven innings and did not allow an earned run in win over Vermont on March 1.

2007: Gave Privateers some good innings as a freshman reliever...Best game came in March 7 win at Nicholls State...In first career start, tossed six innings and gave up three hits and one run with five strikeouts...Made two starts during season...Made five appearances in last two months of season.

High School:
played baseball for three seasons...Was a first-team All-State pitcher and also was named to the first-team All-State tournament team...Second Baptist won the AAAA State Baseball Championship... McGonigle pitched the deciding game, hurling a 2-0 shutout...Had a 3.7 GPA.
